Since its inception in 1980, the Halifax Ballet Theatre's mandate has been to offer ballet training of the highest calibre. Former students have gone on to further training at The National Ballet School, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, The School of American Ballet, L'École Supérieure de Dance du Québec, The Joffrey Ballet School, and other institutions of national and international standing. Former students of the Halifax Ballet Theatre are performing, or have performed, in Canada, the United States, Europe and Asia.
